In light of the social distancing measures, we have made some temporary changes to our operation to help protect you.
We know that this big pause won’t last forever.
We are self-isolating on the farm with the intention of keeping ourselves, our staff, suppliers, customers and neighbours safe. This means that we are not currently allowing any visitors.
We are self-contained, disinfecting our spaces and spending time working on improving the facilities and growing our kitchen garden. It’s peaceful.
But we can’t say we’re unaffected. We had just begun revving up for a season of stunning, touching, life-affirming weddings, so of course we are deeply disappointed for all the families who are having to change their plans at the last minute.
Here is some information about the steps we have been taking:
Weddings in 2020
When the measures were announced, and looked set to go on indefinitely, we quickly came to the extremely difficult decision to suspend all our wedding activities for spring and early summer this year, and move them into accordingly. We are waiting to see how long the measures remain in place, and will continue to make sure that all our couples are looked after and offered alternative dates where necessary.
We are extremely grateful to all of our re-scheduled couples, and their suppliers, for accommodating these huge changes to these huge life event celebrations so good naturedly. Everyone now has a new slot to look forward to.
Live video tours
While we are all staying home, we are offering prospective wedding couples and their loved ones the opportunity to take a virtual guided tour of the farm – live – with one of our wedding managers.
We can do this via more or less any channel that suits you but so far we’ve used Skype, Zoom, WhatsApp and Facebook Chat to good effect. We’ll show you and your family members round, answer your questions and help you start thinking about your wonderful wedding celebrations in 2021 and beyond.
There is so much to look forward to, and be grateful for, on the other side of this extraordinary event. We will be here for you when that time comes.
So, please #staysafe to #protectthenhs, and keep in touch!
